NorthWords Writers Circle – for adult writers of all abilities and experience

Whether you write as a hobby, have published several works, or haven’t picked up a pencil in years, this is a relaxed and informal community where you can make new friends, try new writing techniques, and share your words with others.
It is held once a month on Sunday afternoon at the North Star (new UNW) Building at 4910 53 St, Yellowknife from 1-4pm.
This 3-hour circle is in two parts:
- The first half is a shared writing activity directed by Yellowknife teacher and poet Robyn Scott. With a focus on poetry and lyrical prose, you’ll try new writing techniques and perhaps create a new poem or creative passage. Let’s have some fun and write together!
- The second half is a sharing circle in which everyone is invited to share a piece of writing they’ve been working on for feedback, critique, or encouragement. This will be a friendly and inclusive space where all modes of expression are encouraged and welcome.
Come for both parts or just drop in for one.
No registration is necessary and it is FREE to attend (donations are gratefully accepted). Just drop by with a willingness to try and an enthusiasm to share!
