Matt Fournier was born and raised in Yellowknife and is an author of short fiction, poetry, and children’s literature. In 2013, he completed a BA in Creative Writing and English Literature at Concordia University in Montreal. Since returning to Yellowknife, Matt has published two children’s books with FriesenPress: the Outlaw Amy Joan (2022) and Abby Zoo Turns Into a Mosquito (2024). Matt is also a former NorthWords board member.
