Richard Van Camp

Richard Van CampA proud member of the Tlicho Nation from Fort Smith, Richard is an internationally renowned storyteller and best-selling author. A graduate of the En’owkin International School of Writing, the University of Victoria’s Creative Writing BFA Program and the Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, he is the author to two children’s books with Cree artist George Littlechild, three baby books and several selections of short fiction including Angel Wing Splash Pattern, The Moon of Letting Go and Other Stories and Godless but Loyal to Heaven. His novel, The Lesser Blessed, is now a feature film with First Generation Films. 2015 promises to be a busy year for Richard with the planned release of new works that include a mix of short stories, novels, graphic novels and non-fiction. Three new books “Three Feathers”, a graphic novel on restorative justice with artist Krystal Mateus (Portage and Main); “Whistle” a mini-novel exploring mental health (Pearson Canada) and a new short story collection, “Night Moves” (Enfield & Wizenty) will be out this fall.
