Garry Gottfriedson

GG picGarry Gottfriedson, from the Secwepemc first nation (Shuswap), was born, raised and lives in Kamloops, BC. He is a self-employed rancher with a Master’s degree in Education from Simon Fraser University. Currently the principal at the Sk’eel School of Excellence in Kamloops, B.C., Garry was awarded the Gerald Red Elk Creative Writing Scholarship to the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado where he studied creative writing under Allan Ginsberg, Anne Waldman and Marianne Faithful and others. His work has been anthologized and published nationally and internationally.
